About NUK
Den norske Uighurkomiteen (Uighur community in Norway) was founded in Norway 2003.
First asylum seekers in Norway were listed in 1999 and from that date till now it is counted about 400 people. Every single Uighur who is comming as an asylum seeker to Norway share common problems those are torture, oppression, discrimination. Unfortunately most of ethnic Uighurs in Eastern Turkistan (Xinjiang) in north west China suffer in the regime of communism which is likely of dectator rejime.
The aim of NUK is to unite in protecting our human rights beside to this we try to save our identity and share our culture and history with those who support us. NUK it is dialog between different cultures and nations in order to be against torture and oppression. We will reach our aims through peace and democratic values according to the law of Norway. We do hope to be supported by all kind international and local organizations sharing same ideas and ways inlisted above. Thank you, with sincer NUK.
